Ladies and Gentleman, we have AIR!
That's right, I'm sitting in my office and NOT SWEATING!
I can't lie, the past 10 days have been rough, rough, rough. I owe Miss Priss gallons of ice cream and cookies for putting up with a snappy, irritable mommy. I swear, I used to give myself "Bad Mommy Points" when I would feel like I was in the wrong, but I lost count sometime last week. And H.O.T.Y..... well he and I have been at each others throats to say the least!
So thanks for all your thoughts, prayers, good wishes and for a few of you... letting me vent, vent, vent! I hope to be back to human form by the end of the day!

Still Sweating...
we're now on day EIGHT!!!!! Ugh!
Between the Warranty Company not filing the right reports, the AC guy not returning our calls, and the HEAT INDEX skyrocketing this week... I am all but OUT OF MY MIND!
With the help of several wonderful friends, and two wonderful Grandma's, we've been able to spend the last five nights in nice cool AC. The days have been super long though, trying to juggle Molly and keeping her out of the heat...
...but I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel. AC guy called and said it'll be put in late tonight or tomorrow. So somebody please put in your prayers to the big guy upstairs that we get it in ASAP!

It's Getting Hot In Here...
...that's right. I'm on day number five in a house with no air-conditioning. The thermostat in our house has read 90 degrees for the last three days straight. At this moment, H.O.T.Y., Miss Priss and I are stripped down to almost all undies, and are considering this the official week from HELL. Monday it died, Tuesday we were told it would have to be replaced, Wednesday the Warranty Company finally approved us for the new unit, Thursday we were told it would take 24 hours for delivery, and today (Friday) we were told that the AC company is not returning our AC Handyman's calls, thus leaving us without AC for the entire weekend. Happy Freaking Father's Day, right?
I kid you not, even my tears at this moment are so hot they're burning my face.
Miss Priss is handling it relatively well, if you consider tantrums, crying and refusing to take naps "well". I feel for her though, she doesn't understand why we're living in an oven, she's just stuck with it!
So anyone out there reading this, do me a favor and go turn down your thermostat to 65, hell, turn it down to 62.... and about the time your teeth start chattering, please think of me! :)

Princess Party
Tuesday morning Miss Priss got all dressed up to go to a Princess Party! Thanks to our good friend Libby, she got a cute purple tutu, and Aunt Mary Jane sent us lots of pretty necklaces, so Miss Priss had a ball getting all decked out!
At the party, Miss Priss worked very very very hard on her tiara. She colored it with all her favorite colors, put shiny stickers on it, and glued big rhinestones on it!
After we finished her tiara, she got to eat a Princess Cupcake! As always, she ate every bit of the icing first, before biting into the actual cupcake!

Happy Birthday Miss Priss!
It's the Big Day.... Miss Priss is officially two years old! It's hard to believe how fast the last couple of years have flown by.... from a tiny baby in my arms to a toddler with a mind of her own! She truly is the light of my life!
We had fun early this morning taking her official "Two Year" pictures!

Two Birthday Queens
Once upon a time, there was a Birthday Queen. Every year growing up, her parents would make a huge spectacle out of her June birthday and it truly became her favorite "holiday". As she got older, she encouraged all her friends to join in, as June 8th was a day for EVERYONE to celebrate! She even was known to draw out her birthday celebrations into days, weeks... one year it lasted a full month!
After she married her Prince Charming, they decided to have a baby. She told him that she'd be happy to have a baby, as long as she wasn't due in June. As luck would have it, the Birthday Queen got knocked up and the doctor set her due date for June 15th! About a month before the baby's arrival, the doctor wanted to set the scheduled c-section date... and the Birthday Queen's first option was June 8th! "Oh no!" she cried, "I can't share my birthday!" So they went ahead and set the date for June 11th instead.
The baby came, and the Birthday Queen soon realized that even though she and the baby might not share the exact day, the baby's birthday would trump hers all together! Luckily, she welcomed the little girl into her Birthday Queen Club and decided to make the most of their combined birthdays every year! (Poor Prince Charming, I know!)
This year has been wonderful already, celebrating all week for our combined birthdays! We've gone on picnics, went swimming, had cupcakes, opened presents.... with more fun stuff still coming!!
God truly works in mysterious ways, as I've learned that sharing your "Big Day" with the one you love is definitely the BEST WAY TO CELEBRATE!

First Day in Neosho
We arrived on Sunday afternoon for our week-long stay with my parents.... and within a couple of hours we had played outside on Kaeden's new slip-n-slide (thank you Uncle Todd!), opened Birthday presents... and Miss Priss had attached herself to Papa's side. Papa took no time at all in teaching her how to throw rocks in the fountain, climb a tree, and roam around the big back yard.
Grammie and Papa have spoiled Miss Priss every minute since we've got here, and she's loving every bit of it! H.O.T.Y. and I will have to give her a little bit of a reality check when we get home next week - haha!

Emily's Baby Shower
This weekend we threw my friend Emily's baby shower! My sorority sisters Lisa, Shelly and I joined forces to throw a festive shower just for her and her soon-to-be baby boy, Cole!
We had so many people come and the sweet treats we served were a big hit! Emily got lots of wonderful things and is on her way to being fully prepared for Cole's arrival early next fall!
