Oh my sweet, blue-eyed girl, I can’t believe you’re seventeen! The years have flown by and you continue to blossom right before my very eyes.
So for your seventeenth birthday, here are seventeen things I absolutely adore about you.
1. You are you, without question or apology, and I’m so thankful you’ve embraced all the quirks that make you amazing.
2. You are a child-at-heart! As much as I remind you to act your age, I also can’t help but love how pure your heart is and your ability to make every day fun!
3. Your love for legos and crafts and puppies makes me smile! You get so excited about each of these and never seem to grow tired of them!
4. You love big. You are an abundance of “I love yous” and “hold mes” and countless hugs every single day.
5. You have endured a hard year in high school with courage and grace and an ability to see the best in people no matter what.
6. You love your daddy. You are so good at making him feel loved and special and I’m so thankful for that!
7. You would rather be playing Roblox than scrolling social media. I’m grateful that you don’t have the obsession with social media that so many of your peers have.

You’re thoughtful and considerate. You are
always the first to notice if someone is sad and you go out of your way to make
others feel better.
9. You are so freaking funny. Sometimes you mean to be funny, sometimes you don’t, yet you make us laugh ALL THE TIME. I could write a book with all the Mollyisms that I’ve written down. I hope you always have your amazing sense of humor.

You love adventure! You are always up for doing something new. Whether it’s rummaging through Salvation Army
or hiking through the woods, you are always ready to explore!
11. You are absolutely beautiful. Just stunning. And yet, you’re happy to be in pajamas, without makeup or your hair done.
12. You are protective of those you love. You fearlessly defend who you think needs defending and you protect those you feel needs protection. You are the first to stand-up for someone when you think they’ve been wronged and always speak up when you see some sort of injustice.

15. You love your sister fiercely. Nothing makes me more happy than seeing the friendship between you and Lucy grow stronger and stronger each year. I’m so thankful you have each other.
16. You are a true Gemini. You’re a mix of naughty and nice, social butterfly and homebody. You keep your car spotless and your room usually is a disaster. You follow some of our rules and can’t help yourself by breaking others. You’re girly, yet not, you’re boy crazy, yet completely independent. You’re the perfect mix.
